Kelly Chase Couture 26-646 is a floor-length champagne gown cut from metallic organza jacquard, and the pattern is woven into the cloth rather than printed or applied to it. An oversized painterly floral runs the full length of the gown in champagne, gold and ivory, shadowed with slate blue that deepens steadily as it travels down, so the bodice reads light and luminous while the skirt reads deep and saturated. A wide folded band of the same jacquard wraps the bust into a soft sweetheart neckline that opens into a shallow V, then carries off the shoulder as a short draped sleeve on each arm, leaving the collarbone, shoulders and upper arms bare. Beneath it the bodice is pleated on the diagonal and drawn through a folded band at the natural waist, which is what gives the midriff its wrapped, hand-draped look. The back is shaped and fully closed over a concealed center zipper, with a narrow open channel where the shoulder band crosses above the bodice edge. The skirt follows the hip and thigh closely and releases below the knee into a true mermaid flare with a light sweep at the floor. There is no beading, no applique and no slit anywhere on this gown, which places it with our clean, unbeaded gowns and makes it a rare find among mermaid gowns at this level. Because the band forms genuine sleeve coverage it also belongs with our dresses with sleeve coverage, a detail many mothers and grandmothers ask for first. Shown in Gold/Navy, it is offered in sizes 0 through 28, with sizes 18 to 28 carrying a 20 percent size surcharge, and it sits alongside the rest of the Kelly Chase Couture collection at Jan's. Within that same Fall 2026 group it is the off-the-shoulder mermaid answer to 26-642, 26-643 and 26-644.
This is a gown for the front row: mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the-groom dresses, black-tie wedding guest dresses and guest-of dresses, charity event and gala gowns, Military Ball gowns, debutante gowns, Bar and Bat Mitzvah mom dresses and grandmother of the bride dresses, and it is stocked through our evening plus sizes and plus size formal wear ranges as well as our best-selling evening and cocktail styles. A gown built this way has to be tried on rather than guessed at. A folded organza band has to sit level across the collarbone and stay there when she raises a glass; off-the-shoulder sleeves have to rest on the arm without sliding or binding; the diagonal pleating has to break at her own natural waist, not an inch above or below it; and a mermaid skirt has to release at her knee and be hemmed to the exact heel she will actually wear, because an inch either way changes the whole line. Our seamstresses handle all of that in house with on-site alterations, and they can adjust the shoulder band, the waist placement and the sweep length on this style. Kelly Chase Couture is made to order, so plan on roughly 14 weeks for standard delivery; rush production is available at 8 to 10 weeks for 800 dollars, and under 8 weeks for 1,200 dollars. Tell us your event date and we will confirm the timing before anything is ordered. Jan's Boutique charges no sales tax on clothing, which on a gown at this price is a real difference against New York and Pennsylvania. Come see it at Jan's Boutique, 406 Marlton Pike E, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, call 856-428-8181, or book a private appointment - appointments are required, and bringing your shoes and the undergarments you plan to wear makes the first fitting count.
