Our History

Established in April 1974, Janice Davis first sold dresses, sportswear, and accessories from the street level in front of her home in Burlington, New Jersey. With rising popularity, Jan moved to a bigger store in Burlington a few years later. Six years after that, she relocated to a more prominent location in Rancocas Woods, New Jersey.

After spending eight successful years in Rancocas Woods, Jan’s moved to the Zagara's Towne Place shopping center in Marlton, NJ. Sixteen years later, in November 2006, Jan’s opened a brand-new, luxurious 6,000+ square foot building on Route 70 in Cherry Hill—just minutes from the Ben Franklin Bridge and Interstate 295—tripling our retail space. This move included 20+ dressing rooms, more parking, and greater visibility for our ever-growing inventory.

Today, most first-time visitors are astonished to find the dress of their dreams on their very first visit—especially after searching dozens of other stores with no success. At Jan’s, our highly trained sales staff and extensive dress selection make finding “the one” easy!

Our Grand Expansion

With new investors, Jan's Boutique has grown again—more than two-fold. We recently completed the first phase of a 7,000 square foot addition behind our current store, expanding to a total of 50 dressing rooms and thousands more dresses! This growth cements our status as the premier women’s clothing store in the country. It’s no wonder that many of our clients drive up to six hours or even fly into Philly International to shop here.

Phase two of Jan’s expansion will feature a complete renovation of the front of our building, offering a contemporary look and feel—coming 2025.
