Established in April of 1974, Janice Davis started selling dresses, sportswear and accessories from the street level in the front of her home in Burlington, New Jersey. Within a few years, Jan expanded to a larger store just down the road also in Burlington. With Jan's popularity rising year after year, she was forced to move again 6 years later to a more prominent and larger location in Rancocas Woods, New Jersey. After spending 8 years in Rancocas Woods, Jan's moved again to a larger store in the Zagara's Towne Place shopping center in Marlton, NJ. After 16 successful years in Marlton Jan's made a bigger splash in a brand new luxurious 6,000+ square foot building which opened November of 2006. This location on Route 70 is in the heart of Cherry Hill (minutes from the Ben Franklin Bridge and Interstate 295) and has enabled Jan's to grow three-fold. Jan's has double the retail space, 20+ dressing rooms, more parking, more visibility and most importantly, more inventory than any other store in the region. Most Jan's clients are left speechless when they find the dress of their dreams on their first visit after visiting dozens of other dress shops with no such luck. Now with new investors Jan's Boutique has grown again, more than two-fold and has completed the first phase of a 7,000 square foot addition on the back of it's existing store. With this addition Jan's has added 30 extra dressing rooms (50 in total) and of course added thousands of extra dresses! This expansion has propelled Jan's as the premiere women's clothing store in the country. No other dress shop or department store can match Jan's service and selection of dresses, explaining why many of Jan's clients drive as far as 6 hours away or fly into Philly International to find the perfect dress! Phase two of Jan's expansion will complete a total transformation of the front of it's building featuring a main-stream look and feel, coming 2025.
