- Is Jan's Handicap and ADA Compliant? Yes we are. Jan's has handicap complient bathrooms, dressing rooms, outside ramps to gain access to our sidewalk and handicap parking, in addition our website is ADA compliant with built in features from UserWay.org (see the ADA symbol at the bottom of all our web pages) BUT if you have any issues with our website then please either call or text us at 856-428-8181 or email us at info@jansboutique.com so we can help you navigate or answer any questions. We are here to help EVERYONE regardless of your disability.
- Are Appointments Required? Yes, they are. We can not guarantee service upon entry without an appointment. Appointments receive priority and are highly recommended! Appointments are not required for our daywear, sportswear, cruisewear and accessory departments.
- Is there a charge to book an Appointment? We have free appointments and upgraded VIP appointments that are not free. Our free appointments allow less time than the VIP appointments. Our free appointments do require a credit card to hold your appointment, there is no charge for the free appointments but if you do not show or give us at least 48 hours notice your credit card will be billed $50.
- Why do I need to make an appointment? Appointments allow us to know exactly how many people enter our showroom and allows us to give each person the service level you expect. In addition the Cherry Hill township has a occupancy limit so we can not have more than a certain amount of people in the store at one time. Browsers too must make an appointment or browse all our in stock dresses online from our "SHOP by SIZE" link. If you walk in without an appointment you will be asked to book an appointment for whatever time is available that day if in fact an appointment to browse or try on is available. We suggest you book your appointment a week in advance to get the time slot of your choice, weekends fill up about 2 weeks in advance.
- Are all the dresses on www.JansBoutique.com actually in store for me to try on? No they are not and we are transparent about what dresses are in store! Jan's stocks up to 15,000 dresses in most sizes including Plus and Women's Sizes. All the dresses we have in-stock are listed on our website with a GREEN rectangular tag on the bottom of the dress picture which says IN STOCK! To see every dress we have in stock in your size then click onto the "SHOP by SIZE" link on our website. Please note Jan's sells its dresses off-the-rack and online so our inventory is never 100% accurate. If you are coming in for a specific dress we recommend you call us prior to booking your appointment.
- Why is there a guest limit? Due to Cherry Hill Occupancy Laws our Evening/Mother-of can only bring up to (2) guests, see Evening-Mother of appointment options. Prom/Teen/Pre-teen and Bridesmaids appointments can only bring (1) guest into the store for a total of 2 people in your party and our Bridal appointments can bring (3) guests with yourself into the store for a total of 4 people in your party, a VIB non-refundable option is available to bring (5) guests. Please note we do have options to bring an additional guests but that option is only available if you select our VIP appointment types.
- Can I try on dresses with a friend or family member? Yes, but please contact the store at 856-428-8181 to confirm there is availability to book two (2) people in your party to try on dresses any specific day (we have limited availability for 2 people in one party trying on each day). Each person trying on must have their own appointment and we can not accomodate more than 2 people in your party to try on dresses on the same day.
- Why is there a time limit to my Appointment? To reduce everyones wait to try on dresses Jan's Evening and Bridal appointments are for 60 minutes and our Bridesmaids, Prom, Homecoming/Pre-Teen/Sweet 16/Bat Mitzvah/Quinceanara appointments are for 40 minutes and 55 minutes for our VIP appointment. Please arrive on time as we can not extend your time if you arrive late. We have found this to be enough time to try on multiple dresses, if you need more time then please know you can make an appointment for another day. Please note we can not allow one person to book more than one appointment on any one day.
- Can I bring beverages/food and my child into the store? Unfortunately we do not allow food, beverages, strollers, animals, dogs or children 12 and under in store.
- Do I have to wear a Face Mask inside Jan's? No, faces masks are optional for all of our guests and employees.
- Does Jan's carry Bridesmaids dresses? Yes, Jan's carries three Bridesmaids designers, Jessica Angel, Portial and Scarlett and Atria. The Jessica Angel collection is available in 100+ colors, check out their IG page @jessicaangelcollection and see their dresses on our website. These amazing dresses start at $398 and go up to $600 (they are not your ordinary dresses and your Bridesmaids will wear these dresses more than once as they are the best bridesmaids dresses).
- How long does it take to order a dress? Eveing and Prom dresses arriving from China (many of our designers) that have to be ordered are taking up to 3 to 6 months to be made and shipped. Please note you can buy anyone of our amazing dresses from our stock (many customers do) and we also offer a handful US based designers where we can order dresses less than 2 months. Words of advice......SHOP EARLY :)

- Can a pre-teen or teenager shop at Jan's without an adult? Yes, but you must book an appointment to browse or try on.
- Are all your dresses in stock Samples? NO! All the stock dresses are not samples, we sell ALL our dresses off-the-rack! Most stores do not stock the level of inventory we do. At Jan's you can try on a dress in your size and walk out with the dress that day. If necessary we can special order any dress for you as well, our manager will measure you to confirm you are purchasing the correct size.
- Does Jan's offer Layaway? YES! Jan's offers Layaway up to 60 days (50% down + $35 monthly layaway fee). Please note Jan's does not accept out-of-state checks or in-state checks. Jan's does accept ALL major credit cards and we also accept Cash.
- Who does Jan's Boutique recommend to dry clean your dress? Jan's highly recommends Mam'selle Dry Cleaners at 1900 Greentree Road in Cherry Hill, NJ, they are located in the Springdale Plaza. They are the BEST and tell them Jan's sent you, the owner Ms. Haan will take good care of any of your cleaning needs. Their phone number is 856-424-2487
- Does Jan's do Alterations? YES! Jan's performs custom Alterations. Jan's has a full-service 10-member staff with a combined 100+ years of experience, please note we only alter clothing purchased from our store. Our seamstresses require 8 weeks lead time to complete any alteration and our alterations start at $295 for Prom, $425 for Evening and $695 for Bridal.
- Does Jan's host Trunk Shows? YES! Jan's hosts dozens of Trunk Shows per year so be sure to check out our Trunk Show link on our website! We add trunk shows regularly to our calendar. A trunk show is an event in which the manufacturer sends us most if not all their current and upcoming seasons new collections for you to preview. A trunk show is a great opportunity for you to see every dress in person.
- Does Jan's sales stylists work on commision? No, our sales staff will not pressure you into a dress to make a sale as they do not work on commission like most other stores.
- Is Jan's a warehouse? NO, Jan's is not a warehouse....Jan's Boutique is a classy, well-organized, well-oiled machine that has received numerous awards including NJ's #1 Rated Dress Store by various magazine publications!
- Do dresses run true to size? NO! ALL dresses run approximately 2 to 3 sizes smaller than your regular clothes! Due to the fact that dresses tried on too small can strain and or break our zippers you must understand you can not try on dresses smaller than your size! Jan's sales associates and management will determine if certain size dresses can't be tried on
- Does Jan's have free Wi-Fi? Yes! Tell your loved one to relax in our seating area and watch TV or read a magazine. For obvious reasons, men are not allowed near any of Jan's 50 dressing rooms, no expceptions!
- Does Jan's have Accessories for my new Dress? Yes! Jan's offers a huge selection of coordinating accessories, handbags and undergarments. FYI, Jan's was voted best Accessories by South Jersey Magazine!
- If I'm a last minute customer can Jan's help me find a dress? Definitely yes, Jan's can accommodate last minute customers dress needs. Anyone of our 15,000+ dresses can be purchased off-the-rack including our bridal gowns.
- Exactly how many dresses does Jan's stock? Jan's stocks over 15,000 dresses (and dressy pant sets and dressy separates) in stock in sizes 000-26, more than all your local stores in your area. It's well worth the drive or flight to Cherry Hill, NJ. Jan's flagship store occupies 13,000 square foot addition with 50 more dressing rooms and a Accessory and DayWear department, no other store in the region can match our selection.
- The dresses that say IN STOCK....are they really IN STOCK? Yes and No......Jan's sells approximately 100 dresses per day from our store and our website (our dresses are not beat-up samples like the other stores you have visited). Our dresses sell from our sales floor at a very, very fast rate and dresses that may have shown in stock may not be in stock the day you arrive. When you visit Jan's for the first time you will see how busy we are and understand dresses do not sit on our racks for an extended time like many other stores.
- Does Jan's have free Parking? Yes.....Jan's has about 50+ parking spots but our lot fills up on the weekend and on national holidays. If our lot is full then park your car in the Saw Mill Village Shopping Center directly adjacent to our store, it's a 5 second walk from their lot to Jan's. Jan's also has handicap parking spots.
