Jovani Contemporary and Maslavi Ready-to-Wear at Jan's Boutique is where the New York house's trend-forward side lives. Jovani was founded by Jacob Maslavi and is run today by his sons Abraham and Saul; the Contemporary line, sold under the Maslavi Ready-to-Wear label, takes the same construction behind Jovani's red-carpet gowns and cuts it cleaner, shorter and more modern. Heading into the 2027 evening season we carry more than 300 Jovani Contemporary and Maslavi styles in our Cherry Hill showroom and online, priced from about $238 to $1,430, with most between $500 and $900. Current 2026 styles are still in stock and on the floor, so you can compare seasons side by side and take a dress home the same day.
What makes Maslavi by Jovani different
Maslavi is Jovani's ready-to-wear answer to the ballgown. Expect architectural and one-shoulder necklines, placed cutouts, graphic and abstract prints, sequin and metallic knits, and drop-waist or column silhouettes in mini, midi and floor length. The line goes beyond dresses, too: jumpsuits, three-piece looks, and separates where the top and the pants are sold individually, so you can mix sizes and get a true fit through the waist and hip.

Sizes, fit and alterations
Jan's stocks sizes 000 to 26, and our in-house alterations department tailors every dress we sell: hems, straps, bustles, taking in a waist or letting out a bodice. Bring the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear and we will pin it the way you will actually wear it.
